Running Shoes Reviews -

Dear Lovely Shoe Wearer,

(or graceful bare-footed one, whichever the case may be...)

This may be your first time here, and it may be your first visit to a Wiki.

If you aren't sure what a wiki is, let me tell you what Wikipedia says it is:

A wiki is a page or collection of Web pages designed to enable anyone who accesses it to contribute or

modify content, using a simplified markup language. Wikis are often used to create collaborative websites

and to power community websites. The collaborative encyclopedia Wikipedia is one of the best-known wikis.

Wikis are used in business to provide intranets and Knowledge Management systems. Ward Cunningham,

developer of the first wiki software, WikiWikiWeb, originally described it as "the simplest online database

that could possibly work"

Now that you know what a wiki is, or are at least slightly more informed than before even if you still aren't

totally sure what it is, let me explain the point and purpose of this one.

We're looking to set up a Running Shoes Reviews spot where shoe wearers like yourself, or even better, running shoe

wearers like yourself, have the opportunity to review the good, the bad, the ugly, the blister-inducing, and the pillow-like,

foot caressing features and aspects of your favorite or your definitely-not-favorite running shoes.

Hence, the title "Running Shoes Reviews."

If you have a website or an article about running shoes, then I encourage you to create a page on this wiki about it.

If someone already has created a page about it, I recommend that you improve it!

If you have a running shoe business, then start a page about the running shoes that you sell.

If you have a particularly favorite or particularly reviled brand or style or color of running shoe, create

a page on this wiki to express your own honest opinion on it.

If you love one or hate another, then add reviews of your favorite or least favorite - and if someone already did and beat you to it,

then add in your own review!

The only thing we ask is that you keep everything family-friendly and respectful. After all, this is the internet, where

you never know who is looking at what you're saying. (We do reserve the right to remove anything deemed to be inappropriate.)

What I am looking to accomplish here is to create an online center here where people can not only express their opinions about running shoes,

but that others can come to find running shoes reviews that will help them with the selection process, whether they are looking for shoes for

heavy runners, or shoes for pronators, or supinators, or motion control running shoes, or the best trail running shoes, or even to take

advantage of cheap prices on running shoes or clearance running shoes if anyone posts the super special deals they find!!

An easy way to post is to create you-tube videos and embed them on pages inside this wiki - that

way you can do "live demos" of the shoes you love and hate for everyone to see.

So here are some instructions:

   1. Create An Account. (Top right corner)

   2. Fire up your web-cam (or not.)

   3. Get out your current pair of running shoes - Make sure you know what brand they are, and style/model if possible.

   4. Think up and jot down two or three or four thousand two hundred ten things you love about your shoes, and one or two or forty-six things you don't.

   5. Make a quick video with your webcam and review the shoes and upload it to You-Tube or Viddler.

   6. Click Here to make a page on this wiki about the shoes  (write up anything you want about it, and embed your video (if you made one) on the page.)

   7. Send an email to your friends asking them to check out your running shoes reviews and encourage them to make one themselves!

   8. Pretty soon you're relatively famous, cause you've posted your insightful and well documented video or written commentary on

running shoes reviews. (Well, don't get your hopes up - probably not that famous...)

   9. Lather, Rinse and Repeat (with your previous pair of running shoes, or your favorite local running shoes store or whatever you have

to say about running shoes reviews that you didn't say in your first post.)

  10. Thanks --- See ya on the inside!
